Análisis de la cohesión léxica en el texto científico

Resumen

Resumen. El presente estudio tiene como objetivo investigar si la cohesion léxica de un texto —un hecho objetivo y mesurable — contribuye a la coherencia del mismo — un hecho subjetivo que depende de la interacción entre el texto y el saber enciclopédico que supuestamente comparten emisor y receptor. Para su análisis hemos seleccionado un texto científico extraído de la revista académico-educacional Education in Chemistry. Después de realizar un análisis exhaustivo y detallado de todas las relaciones de repetición léxica establecidas entre las oraciones dicho texto científico, observaremos la posibilidad de confeccionar varios resúmenes que contengan la información fundamental de dicho texto teniendo en cuenta solo aquellos segmentos textuales en los que el léxico haya funcionado como recurso cohesivo.

Analysis of lexical cohesion in the scientific text

Abstract. The main aim of this paper is to investigate whether lexical cohesion – an objective and therefore measurable characteristic of a text contributes to its coherence – a subjective characteristic which depends on the interaction between the text and the encyclopaedic knowledge that is supposed to be shared by the writer and the reader. We have selected a scientific text extracted from Education in Chemistry – an academic educational journal. After performing a comprehensive analysis of the relationships stated by lexical repetition between the sentences in this scientific text, we will observe whether it is possible to create summaries of the content of the text, taking into account the textual segments in which the lexis has functioned as a cohesive device.
