Resumen. Este trabajo presenta algunos datos sobre la actitud del hablante en la web 2.0, maÌs concretamente en los blogs de temas relacionados con la telecomunicacioÌn. El objetivo es describir la actitud del hablante en este tipo de textos en ingleÌs a traveÌs de los adverbios y expresiones adverbiales. Para llegar a conclusiones, se analiza tanto desde un punto de vista cuantitativo como cualitativo, cuaÌl es y coÌmo se manifiesta la actitud del hablante a traveÌs de los adverbios en este tipo de discurso y se contrastan los resultados con otros de estudios previos. Para ello, se trabaja sobre un corpus creado ad hoc, con textos provenientes de la web 2.0, en concreto blogs de contenido relacionado con la telecomunicacioÌn. El estudio se apoya en herramientas informaÌticas especiÌficas para el anaÌlisis del texto como AntConc o LingPipe.
The attitude of the speaker through adverbs and adverbial expressions in telecommunication blogs
Abstract. This paper presents some data about stance in the web 2.0, more specifically, regarding the area of Telecommunications in blogs. The final aim is to describe the speakers’ stance as it is and how it is manifested in this type of texts in English by means of adverbs and adverbial expressions. To reach punctual conclusions, the speakers’ stance expressed through adverbs in these texts is analysed both from a qualitative and from a quantitative point of view and the results are compared with others in previous research. The study is based on a corpus made ad hoc from texts coming from the web 2.0, more specifically, blogs in English with content related to Telecommunications. Different software such as AntConc or LingPipe is used for the analysis of data from the texts.
